The value of effort

花-18 English

Hello. This time, I thought about the value of making an effort.

In this world, there are people who like to work hard, and there are also people who are not good at making efforts. Each person has different values and motivations, so it’s not like everyone will put in effort into everything. right?

If I like something, I can work hard at it. When I was little, my grandparents often said things to me that meant things like, “You’re good at putting up with difficult and painful things.” Personally, I was just doing something that I didn’t think was painful or unpleasant. For example, when I was little, I would chase after lines of ants, trying to get in their way and then observe them, or I would repeatedly challenge my family to a game of Othello.

I naturally put effort into something I like. But that may not apply to everyone.

When we look back on our lives, the ratio of things we have gained through hard work to things we have gotten by luck will vary from person to person.

However, in many cases, you may feel that you have gained more things without hard work. That is because, like in my example, there are times when you don’t think you are working hard, but you are working hard and getting results. For me, I have become better at Othello.

If you can feel the joy of trying hard, that’s great. Getting something through hard work certainly gives you a great sense of accomplishment.

However, if effort is painful, there is no need to push yourself too hard. Sometimes, luck or good timing can help you get what you want.

There is no guarantee that hard work will always lead to 100% results. However, hard work can lead to self-growth in an invisible way and can bring about great results in the future. Effort itself has value in improving yourself and expanding your possibilities.

The value of an effort depends on whether it is meaningful to the individual. The rewards of effort can be found not only in the achievement of a goal, but also in what one learns and experiences along the way. It depends on how one feels and what value they find in it.

Finding a balance that feels comfortable to you may be the most worthwhile effort. What do you think?

Do what you want
