How to use it flexibly

ローズ English

Hello. This time it’s a matter of flexibility. “What are you talking about?” you may be thinking, right? Certainly, it was a sudden conclusion.

This time, I’ll talk about how rules are important, but it’s good to be able to respond flexibly depending on the situation.

As we have become members of society, we have learned various manners. What is correct and what is not correct depends on the moment. At first, I too thought, “Huh, what should I do about this?!” I mean, I still think about it often.

I think the correct answer is “when the customer is happy. ”Therefore, I think there are few cases where one can say, “This is the correct answer!”

For example, when we take a customer to the reception room, we usually ask them to sit at a seat in the back of the room. But let’s say you have a window on the opposite side of the room’s entrance, and you can see your proud garden from there. In that case, it would be best to have your guests sit near the entrance so they can see the garden.

Or, depending on the location of the seat where the customer is seated, if a busy employee can be seen, the customer may become distracted and not be able to listen to what you are saying.

Correct manners sometimes change depending on the time and situation. The important thing is to make the customer feel comfortable. If you think it’s against etiquette, explain to the customer, “I’ll take a seat near the entrance, but from here you can see the flowers in full bloom in the garden,” and the customer will understand.

I am convinced that manners are not just a set of rules, but are based on consideration and consideration for others. If that’s the case, the shortest way to make the other person happy is to think about the other person first, without worrying too much about manners. Don’t you think so?
